Are You Ready For The New Superman?

Guys, meet Henry Cavill - the new Superman!
I've watched the last Superman movie starred by Brandon Routh and I don't know the reason yet why he's being replaced. Perhaps it has something to do with age as Routh is now 32 and Cavill is said to be on his 27th...
I've read and heard a lot of different reactions and comments from other people. They were questioning why Cavill was picked and why not Routh continue being a Man of Steel as he is almost a mirror image of the late Christopher Reeve. Others were even saying that Smallville's Tom Welling deserves to don the red cape and blue suit.

Anyway, before we judge Cavill, let's give him a chance. I've googled his profile and browsed the wikipedia to know more about him. He's good looking after all, if he only removed his mustache. Sure he's wavy but that doesn't count, okay? The people in charge of searching a new Superman must have seen something in him that we don't. The casting director knew it better than us. So, better for us to just support him or watch his upcoming movie, The Man of Steel, on December 2012. Let's just give our opinion or judgment on his acting or his being a Superman after we've watch his movie ;-)

I Love Smallville

I have mentioned in my previous post that I am a big fan of Smallville. I have watched all episodes from seasons 1 - 8. I am currently trying to finish season 9 so that I can watch season 10. Huh? Yeah, it took me a long time to finish season 9 because I got so busy and I had a hard time finishing it. But actually, one of the reasons was that I miss Kristen Kreuk's presence as the beautiful Lana Lang. Yeah, of course I have to understand that Superman ended up with Lois Lane. It's just that in Smallville, it was quite different. I've watched Clark and Lana's love story from the very start and how cute they look. They have a very strong chemistry and erasing Lana from Clark's life is quite difficult for me, too, hehehe. This is the only show that I never wanted Superman ends up with Lois, haha. Perhaps the actors played so well and I was so compelled with their acting.

Another thing that turns me off a little in season 9 was when Clark's best friend, Chloe, gained super powers (!). Come on, she was only CK's sidekick and now with this super-power thing where she can even decipher codes?! It was quite a joke--really. Thankfully, with Lana Lang out, the hunky Green Arrow/Oliver Queen's character was being stretched. He's so hot, hot hot! At least it gives light to the now --how do I call this -- almost boring show. And despite being a villain, I kinda miss Lex Luthor's presence. The actor who played as Lex was really good. The new villain, Tess Mercer, who replaced him was a far cry from his acting. I wish they will kill her at the end of season 9 but I guess it won't happen that way. Despite all this, I am still eager to finish the season and watch season 10 til it ends...

Smallville Season 9

I'm a big fan of Smallville. Never missed a single episode from seasons 1 - 7. However, in season 8, I've managed to watch about 5 episodes only. I didn't quite like it anymore when Kristen Kreuk, who played Lana Lang, was not included in the cast anymore, although in some episodes she appeared as a guest star only. She's one of the big reasons why I got so hooked watching this show (and the other one is Tom Welling). But guess I've to accept the fact that Clark and Lana were not meant for each other...

Michael Rosenbaum, the one who played Lex Luthor, didn't return to Smallville season 8, too. He was a good villain and a very convincing actor. But now am thinking to finish the whole episodes of Season 8 (yeah, I had a copy for some months already) so that I can proceed to the next...

And I hope that season 9 is interesting now that they included Wonder Twins in the cast.
