Nicole Scherzinger Wins Dancing With The Stars

I don't get to watch Dancing with the Stars show but I do get some updates here on the internet. Now, finally, the battle is over as Pussycat Dolls, Nicole Scherzinger was crowned as the winner and took home the mirror ball trophy. Of course the credit also goes to her dance partner Derek Hough.

It was said that the duo were already crowd favorites. But I never doubted Nicole's dance moves as she was really good in dancing. I've seen her music videos where all of her group's songs were danceable and she was really good on it! To Nicole, congratulations. You deserved it girl!

Ponder, Ponder...

I've been pondering over some things lately. I was also having some self-introspection and how well I fared these days. Looking back, I thought of my joyous and lowest moments in life. I think I remember mostly the sad part but I'm glad I made it through after all these years. So, I guess I can say that I'm a survivor. There are things that I don't wanna dwell or go back but can't help thinking about it. But I think it made me what I am today if not for those experiences. Some things happen in my life because I let somebody dictate me, some were because of my own decision. Some things I've regretted it and hope to turn back time and restore it. But I guess some things were just meant to be. So, I guess I'll just leave my fate as it is or if I want to achieve my ambition, then I guess now is the time for me to listen to myself and make my own path. I dunno. It's kind of confusing.

But I think I'll just be thankful for the day and savor the moment and let this kind of feeling passed me by. Perhaps I should try to be more positive or look for a new beginning and be grateful that I am still lucky compared to others...

Megan Fox Out In Transformer 3

So, Megan Fox is out of Transformer 3, eh? Some speculated that she was axed from the 3rd installment after she made harsh comments to the movie's director, Michael Bay, by comparing him to Hitler. Her rep said otherwise that it was Fox's decision to dropped out on the 3rd film.

Michael Bay, however, dismissed any of the rumor but instead said that it would be good for the film's main character, played by Shia LaBeouf, not to have any romantic interest in the movie so that he can focus in his heroic deed.

True or not, such a waste for Megan Fox. T3 gave her the biggest break ever. If not for this film, maybe until now she would still be an unknown trying hard starlet. I just hope that whatever is her plan, she will succeed. But if it is true that she became swellheaded, then good luck. It takes a long way to be in the same league with Angelina Jolie.

Robin Hood (2010)

I can't wait to watch Robin Hood starred by Russel Crowe. However, due to unavoidable circumstances, I can't go out right now and watch this on the wide screen. I guess I will have to wait for a DVD copy on this film.

The story of this legendary hero has been retold plenty of times but I know in every film, they made a unique story. Plus, this 2010 film is played by Russel Crowe who, in my opinion, is a very good actor. I've seen his performance in LA Confidential, Gladiator and A Beautiful Mind and I really admired his acting.

Going back to Robin Hood the movie, well, I've read different reactions from critics and movie-goers who've watched this film already, and everybody is entitled to their own opinion. But what matters most is my own perception of this film. And for me, this movie is worth watching!

How about you? Have you watched this movie already? What can you say? You can share your own opinion here ;-)

Grey's Anatomy Season Finale for 2010

I missed a lot of Grey's Anatomy episodes. I used to watch this show before and got me so hooked. But when I started missing out some episodes, I've finally decided to stop watching. Now, I've just heard about their Season Finale for 2010. I am actually curious what will happen in the end, so, I guess I'll have to see the episodes I missed to catch up with the story, huh...

But one thing is for sure, for next season of Grey's Anatomy, there will be no more Dr. Isobel "Izzy" Stevens. Katherine Heigl announced that she's done with G.A. and will now focus on her family and perhaps, movie (?). I will surely missed her character. But everybody must moved on. I still wish for the success of this show. Anyway, McDreamy and McSteamy are still there, right?

Piano Lesson Online

I am a frustrated pianist. How I wish I knew how to play better just like my brothers. Even though they played only Oido, it sounded good. My mom played piano using notes and she told me before that she will only enroll me to a piano class if I prefer notes over oido. I agreed but after a year, I stopped because I got so bored. I can play the piano if there's a chord on a song but still had a hard time reading the notes. Now, I regretted it.

But I am too glad to find out about http://www.pianomother.com as it offers piano lesson online. They even have a video and a guide so that I can follow. If you're like me, do visit their site, too, and learn a lot from them. They will indeed help us become a better pianist!

Proctor and Gamble Pampers Recall?

Proctor and Gamble have a bad day today as it is reported that some of the parents are not satisfied with their Dry Max Pampers. It is said that aside from giving babies diaper rash and skin irritation, the diaper also causes chemical burns. If this is true, then Proctor and Gamble should do something about it. Apparently, there is no diaper recall yet but parents who are concern about the safety of their babies and experienced such dilemma are encouraged to call and report their complains to the Product Safety Commission.

As per experienced, I've been changing from one diaper to another as my baby's skin is sensitive. I frequently changed diapers, too, because I believe that diapers should not be used for a longer period. It's hot for the babies and once peed by them, I'll throw it right away and get a new one. I know it's kinda expensive but buying medication and sending my baby to the hospital because of infection from diaper is more expensive. I'd rather spend a few bucks just to give my baby a good and proper hygiene.

Happy Nurses Day!

Happy Nurse's Day to all nurses around the world! Nurses usually celebrated it for one week starting May 6 up to May 12, which falls on the birthday for Florence Nightingale.

Nurses deserved to have a celebration and be recognized for their service, care and comfort to the sick. Nurses devote their time to their patient and attend to their needs 24 hours a day 7 days a week (shifting hours). Without these nurses, medical health team cannot function well since the nurses are the ones monitoring the progress of the patients.

So, hurray to all the nurses for their tender loving care and for the services they rendered to the people!

Teacher Appreciation Week

May 3 - May 7 is Teacher's Appreciation Week. I would like to greet all the teachers (former, present and future) a Happy Teacher's Week! Teachers are a big part of lives. They taught us a lot of things, let us know and understand new things and new discoveries. They help instilled their knowledge unto us and for that, I shall be forever grateful to them.

Teachers deserved to be appreciated for all their hard works, their time and effort and a lot of patience that they gave to their students. We should give thanks to our teachers because we won't be where we are now not if it were not for them. Although not all of them met our expectations, at least some of them taught us well and molded us into a better person. So, to all my teachers, thank you very much for everything!

I am thanking also my daughter's teachers for the guidance, love, discipline and knowledge you have bestowed to her. She performed in her class so well and that's all thanks to you.

Whitney Houston Struggles to Sing her Own Song

I used to be a big fan of Whitney Houston. Even with my limited voice range, I tried to imitate her and sing her songs. She was good in popularizing old songs and turned them into top hits. She was also humble and showed love to her mother. Until she got married and stay out of the limelight. I was surprised to hear later that she had problems with drugs and that the culprit was her husband. How could he had abused and used her? Poor Whitney. She used to be such a spirited girl. She was even a member of the choir before but her husband brought doom to her life and career. Now, she's struggling to sing her own songs. Her voice range is not what it used to be anymore. Her soprano won't come out and she always ran out of breath.

I saw her videos and I posted one below. She was struggling and croaked her voice many times and even stopped in between maybe to take a deep breath and get some air. It was reported that a lot were outraged during her concert but some were still concerned about her. But as I've watched her video, I wasn't mad at her. I pity her yet I still love her. I guess what she went through in her married life was terribly awful and now she's trying her best to restore her life and career. It may not be the same anymore but I will always love her and the music she shared to us. I wish she will be given a chance. She was not even notorious like some of the singers-gone-wild these days. She just fell in love and got married to a wrong person. And I'm so glad she finally left her husband. And despite everything, I say that I am still a big fan of hers...
