My Opinion on Scandal

Videos are meant to be watched - well, that is, according to my opinion. They are for the consumption of the eyes, so to speak. People don't seem to stop talking about the sex scandal brouhaha these days that involves a doctor, a celebrity, and yadda-yadda-yada. If nobody took a video, then this thing would not come out in the first place. And if nobody ever consented doing a coitus act or stole somebody else's boyfriend, shame would at least be minimized. However, these things had happened and jeopardized everyone involved.

But the issue here is that the women in the video were not aware that they were secretly filmed by a psycho-sexual-hungry doctor doing their acrobatic acts. I plead guilty here of having been able to watch the video out of curiosity (ugh!) but it was really so sickening that I didn't finish it. Now, I just can't imagine all the humiliations, embarrassment all those women will go thru.

But I pity, most of all, the parents of the people involved. I believe it's also unbearable on the parent's part after knowing the kind of mess their kids went into. It's humiliating, disgusting and insulting. But then, despite all these, even at worst moments in their lives, the parents were still there, supporting them rather than abandoning them. I salute their parents for doing so but hope this time, they will be guided (or disciplined?) properly. These rebellious "kids" should now listen and take heed to what their parents tell them in order to save them.

And I hope that the politicians will not ride on this issue, too, and use this for the coming election. Honestly, they disgust me. Even funny when one politician called the doctor a pervert when he himself is not clean knowing the fact that he kept a mistress before and strings of women and even impregnated one. What I'm saying is let's not be too judgmental but I hope a lot of people will learn something out from it. And I hope that the media will not anymore sensationalize the issue because it's now becoming a circus. They should now put an end to it and focus on another problem which the country need to address immediately.

Android Storage

I've always wished that my phone could store lots of music, images or videos. I ended up deleting my other files than to have my phone run out of space. If you experienced the same, there's great news for us. Google Android phone services is coming out soon! It contains 2 gigabytes of FREE music, video, and image storage for your android compatible phone.

My phone can store music but it's only limited. I was also apprehensive in buying an iPod as I don't want to bring lots of gadgets in my bag. With Android Storage, I don't need a lot of things anymore as it makes my entire music collection mobile! One of their applications, AStunes, is very interesting. It makes ALL of your music available for playing without the need to store it on your phone, continuous play feature keeps the music going on and on, shuffle feature mixes up your tunes for your listening pleasure, "Refresh" feature syncs your phone to the latest MP3 list in your android storage account, song buffering allows your music to stream and play seamlessly and full start and stop control with the AStunes player.

The site and video is not yet launched or complete, but will be in the next couple days. And don't you know that 350 million users are expected to use the Android phone platform in the US and UK? Plus the services and apps will be available to 300 million Chinese at http://AndroidStorage.cn.

Carrot Health Soap

I've mentioned before that I have a sensitive skin but lately, I've been using carrot health soap. So far, it had helped me with my dry skin. I think what I need this time is how I will deal with the scar on my face caused by the zit.

What’s in a carrot?

Carrot essential oil is an expensive ingredient derived from pure carrot extracts. It is an unparalled source of anti-oxidants in concentration and potency, containing over 600 carotenoids known to man. It is rich in beta-carotene, as well as vitamins B, C, D and E.

Traditional aromatherapy references indicate that carrot oil has been used for the treatment of dermatitis, eczema, psoriasis, wrinkles, and helped in maintaining good circulation and skin elasticity.

It improves the complexion by removing toxic build-up in the skin, stimulating collagen formation, healing wounds, and normalizing sun damage.

The Curios Case of Benjamin Button

I bet some of you already watched The Curious Case of Benjamin Button starring Brad Pitt and Cate Blanchett. I saw this movie a few months ago and I would say that I was really entertained. I knew the story is only fiction, but how it was depicted was really praised-worthy. Brad performed his character very well, Cate amazed me with her ballerina stunts (and how she really looked young during her teens in the movie, to think she's already 39 y.o!) and Taraji P. Henson, Benjamin's adoptive mother, was really convincing and a very superb actress.

Thru this movie, I can really say that babies and old people have some similarities. Like when we were still a baby, we rode on a stroller but when we get very old, we get to sit on a wheelchair.

And just like what Daisy (Cate) said in the movie, 'we all end up in diapers' - is really True!

Asbestos: A Health Hazard

Having a profession in the medical field makes me very conscious about my health and my surroundings. I can't afford to take risks in I things that I do everyday, especially while I'm at work. All kinds of diseases just seem to appear out from nowhere, so it's quite necessary to take extra precautions. Believe me, it's much too hard and too expensive to get sick nowadays.

Well, to avoid getting sick, you have to know first the things that you have to avoid. One of these things I've discovered is the material popularly known as asbestos. I suggest you stay away from it and avoid getting in contact with it as this sure is a health hazard. Asbestos leads to mesothelioma, a form of cancer that affects thousands of individuals. Once diagnosed, victims are often estimated to have less than a year to survive. However, those who are diagnosed in the early stages of the disease still have the highest rate of survival due to the assistance of medical treatments for the disease.

Another form of disease is asbestosis, a non-cancerous, chronic lung disease that is also tied to asbestos exposure.

If you or a loved one was exposed to asbestos and developed mesothelioma or asbestosis, you have legal rights or get a Mesothelioma Lawyer to help you fight financial compensation which you are entitled.

Monthly Visitors

I had it again! I hate my zit! I usually have it when my period is nearing. It could also happen during or after my red flag day. Darn it! But there's nothing I can do unless, of course, I'll go to my dermatologist and have it fixed. But I've no time to do that today, not even tomorrow or the coming days because I will be totally busy!

My skin is super sensitive. In fact, it's kind of oily in the inner part of my face and dry on the outer part. If ever I am going to use a soap, I have to make sure it suits to my type of skin. But no matter how careful I was, I can't control my zits! I guess it's hormonal because it usually appears on the week of my scheduled period. But this don't happen to me years ago!!! Oh well, I guess I need to do other means by sleeping early at night and try not to eat fatty foods. Any helpful suggestions out there?

The Men Pen

Adsc08299-sm
A lot of people before thought that only women can use make up. However, that notion is considered passé right now as more men saw the benefits of using cosmetics especially on important occasions. The Men Pen is a man's concealer product specifically designed to conceal specific areas like acne, moles, scars, dark circles, blemishes, or just rough spots! This is the same mens makeup product that male actors, models, and businessmen use in their everyday life. There are many uses for The Men Pen related to facial enhancement. The Men Pen can be used daily but typically is used for dress to impress occasions such as business meetings, or nightlife where your image is critical. I bet this is the reason that give them confidence.

The Men Pen comes in 17 different shades so there's a match for everyone. And if the color doesn't suit you, you can swap it until you're satisfied. When you order with them, they also assure you of a money back guarantee, alternate payment option and expedited shipping option. I suggest that you go to their site and know more about their product.

So, men out there, there's really nothing gay about covering up a zit with makeup when you go out!

New Show For Kids

Do you have kids that keep on asking a lot of questions? Kids are usually curious about their surroundings but admit it, we cannot always give them the exact answers to their questions. Great news is that a great new show will premiere on June 23 entitled, Kids FAQ. In this show, there's Mr. Example and his pal, Rodney, to answer the really crazy, tough questions from the kids.

Kids FAQ are also looking for kids ages 4-9 to ask their toughest questions. Let the kids get their mom or dad to print the permission slip, then send to them a webcam video with the question or email webcam auditions to KIDSFAQ@ME.COM.

If they pick your question and use it on the show, your kid will get a $50 gift card to Toys R Us. They will even send a gift card for the same amount to a kid in need at Saint Judes Children's Hospital. Don't you think that's pretty cool?

You can also visit their site and look for some entertaining games like Hangaroo2, Alphattack, Sandman and Club Penguin that I'm sure your kids will surely love to play. You can also see Mr. Example's blog and view some of their pictures. Check it out now!

Angels and Demons

I just finished reading this book, Angels and Demons, by Dan Brown. I actually own this book for quite sometime but I don't have the leisure to read a few months ago as I was busy at work. But just a few days ago, I started reading it, hoping that I'll finish it before May 15 (before the movie version starring Tom Hanks will be shown) and I did it - hehe.. I usually prefer to read the book first before I'm going to watch a movie.

Although the book talks about the scandal at the Vatican, in my opinion, I think this is better than The Da Vinci Code. I will not divulge in here the plot of the story for the sake of those who don't know the story yet. It is fast-paced, suspense and mind-boggling.

Certified Ethical Hacker

Computers around the world are systematically being victimized by rampant hacking. This hacking is not only widespread, but is being executed so flawlessly that the attackers compromise a system, steal everything of value and completely erase their tracks within 20 minutes.

That's why some companies hired Ethical hackers to protect their institution. The Ethical Hacker is an individual who is usually employed with the organization and who can be trusted to undertake an attempt to penetrate networks and/or computer systems using the same methods as a Hacker. The definition of Ethical hacker is just very similar to Penetration Tester. The goal of the ethical hacker is to help the organization take preemptive measures against malicious attacks by attacking the system himself; all the while staying within legal limits.

A certified ethical hacker is a professional IT certification for a computer scientist that works as a security specialist, forensic investigator, etc. to help prevent hacking or to track down perpetrators. And despite economy, salaries are on the rise for IT Security. One of the reasons of their rising pay is to also ensure the companies are stronger and undiminished. You can also go to their site to check more on their training modality. They also offer the following categories:

-Security Fundamentals
-Ethical Hacking
-Penetration Testing
-Computer Forensics

-Disaster Recovery
-Secure Programming

Summer Solstice

Summer is not over yet and we're still experiencing longer days and shorter nights. Meaning, the sun will rise early in the morning and will set very late in the evening. The downside of this will be - I got to be up early in the morning because the rays of the sun is so bright that it bothers my eyes.

Although it rained at times nowadays, still I can feel the humidity of the air. Sometimes, I need to take a shower twice a day (3x to some) because I can't stand myself being sweaty! I guess I've mentioned before that compared to rainy season, I'd rather enjoy the heat of the sun than be stuck inside the house and wait for the sun to shine again.

And I still wanna enjoy the summer heat as my family & I are still planning to go somewhere this weekend. And if ever it's pushed thru, I hope it will not be ruined by a heavy rain.

Sundays at Tiffany's

Are you often drawn to dreamland and thought of meeting somebody you knew for a long time? Or have you had an imaginary friend when you were a kid and thought that he/she could actually be real?

I've read a book recently by James Patterson entitled Sundays at Tiffany's. I've read some of his previous books like Kiss the Girls, etc, and realized he also wrote contemporary fiction stories that were entertaining.

Sundays at Tiffany's brought also some lesson of the story and how a relationship could be restored. The heroine of the story, named Jane, struggled a relationship with her rich and beautiful but controlling mother for a long time yet deep inside they both knew they loved each other.

She also fought loneliness as a child by having a handsome (almost perfect!) imaginary friend named Michael but lose him on her 9th birthday - because that's the ruling of an imaginary friend... in fact, kids will even forget them the next day.

But never in her next 23 years of existence did she forget him. Jane was still lonely at 32 and hoping for someone who will cheer her up and be on her side.

Then one day, she saw the handsome, funny and loving friend she never forgets - Michael.

Reader's Digest

I'm an avid reader of Reader's Digest. My grandfather was a subscriber of Reader's Digest and my mother and uncles inherited his fondness of this book. My mom influenced me on it by at first, gifted me with a 1-year subscription. And so, for the straight 3 years, I've been a subscriber and I always look forward on the next month's issue.

I love Laughter the Best Medicine, Life's Like That and most especially their Book Bonus or Featured Article because it is based on a real life story. Actually, I love all their entries and that also includes Facts and Dear Aunty. I learned a lot from Facts, too, and even answered my simple question like why is W called as "double u" when it looks like "double v"? It said in there that the earliest form for w was probably uu that was used by scribes in the 17th century. But years later, early printers sometimes used vv for the lack of a w in their type but the pronunciation stuck around til now (January 2009 issue).

What's interesting also is that they include Sudoku Puzzle that I love to answer. It makes my brain work! Their vocabulary helped me understand how to use a certain word in a sentence. It really helped me a lot.

Coffee Lover

I love coffee and its aroma brings life to my system. Just this morning, I drank one cup and I really felt good afterward. I read at the net some benefits of coffee and I would like to share it to you:

Coffee drinkers often are concern that their delicious java is too much of a good thing that it must be bad for you. After all it tastes great and really peps you up so. Not so say researchers, it has been shown to coffee is generally safe with moderate consumption and that surprisingly, coffee is actually good for your health. Several studies have linked coffee with reduced risks of Parkinson’s disease, type 2 diabetes, gallstones, cancer, heart disease and osteoporosis.

Coffee beans contain anti-oxidants and other substances that provide these health benefits. Additionally these anti-oxidants can be found in either regular or decaf coffee.

The recommendation for most people would be to enjoy one or two cups of coffee a day, which will allow you to capitalize on its health benefits without incurring health drawbacks. Note: each person is different - so keep this in mind when deciding how much coffee is right for you. Avoid coffee after 3 pm to prevent insomnia. This is especially important if you have problems falling asleep.

If you need to avoid caffeine for health reasons, stay away from coffee and other caffeinated beverages altogether. If you can't live without your coffee, you can purchase decaffeinated coffee that has had the methylene chloride removed during a steam process. Such coffee is available at better health food stores.

If coffee doesn't agree with you, try alternative beverages, such as Inka Naturalis, dandelion blends, and Teeccino that have the flavor you want, without the negative effects.

Congratulations Manny Pacquiao!

The Pride of Philippines, Manny "Pacman" Pacquaio, did it again. His fight with Ricky Hatton seem to brought retirement to the 'Hitman', as what most observers said. It only took 2 rounds to make the game over. Below are the excerpts written by Kevin Iole, Yahoo! Sports

LAS VEGAS – Four years ago, in the very same ring where he scored a crushing second-round knockout over an opponent many thought would give him the challenge of his career, Manny Pacquiao lost a decision to Erik Morales. Morales was one of the most entertaining fighters of his time, but never once were “Morales” and “all-time great” ever used together in the same sentence.

In 2005, Pacquiao was a good and exciting but hardly great fighter. After Saturday’s K.O. of Ricky Hatton, though, he stands atop the boxing world, even with the heavily hyped return of Floyd Mayweather Jr., who had been a near-unanimous choice as the world’s top fighter prior to his untimely retirement in June 2008. Mayweather Jr. unretired on Saturday and said he’d fight Juan Manuel Marquez in July, but he’ll have to defeat Pacquiao if he wants to be regarded as the best after Pacquiao decimated Hatton at the MGM Grand Garden Arena. Pacquiao knocked Hatton down twice in the first round and then knocked him cold with a crushing left hand that may have been the best punch of his career late in the second round. Hatton fell face first and laid motionless for several minutes as the arena erupted.

If the Pacquiao Era hadn’t started with his decimation of Oscar De La Hoya in December, it began with a straight left that left promoter Bob Arum squealing. Arum has promoted many of the game’s finest fighters, including Muhammad Ali, Sugar Ray Leonard, Roberto Duran and Marvin Hagler. Arum was so ebullient after Pacquiao’s devastating victory, he was comparing Pacquiao favorably to Ali.
