I Need A Good Sleep!

I think I woke up at the wrong side of the bed today. I was kinda pissed off for nothing.. Must be the result of sleeping late at night and waking up early in the morning. I guess I lack sleep (but what a lame excuse!).

Ok, I've so much to do today and I seem to be running out of time. What made me lose my temper was when I dozed off in the middle of the day. I woke up realizing that I've wasted much of my time! And then I became untouchable - like some kind of an angry lioness. But no one's to blame here except ME. It was all my fault! Instead of roaring I went upstair and did the things I need to do. There, I think I was able to released my negative energy. I contemplated also on how stupid I was today. When afternoon came, I decided to take a nap (again?!) with my daughter. After my short nap, I felt a lot better and continued to do my thing and even finished some. Well, hoping to get some positive energy now. A good sleep is what I really need.

Beautiful Girls

Megan Fox and Angelina Jolie are both beautiful ladies and they even resembled a lot. People just can't help but compare them however, this is what Fox has to say:

"I think it’s a lack of creativity on the media’s part. Because I have tattoos and dark hair and I was in an action movie? That’s as far as the similarities extend. I’m not the next anyone."

As for the rumor of replacing Jolie in the next Lara Croft film, she turned down the role saying "There have been a lot of films I've had to pass on because I don't want people thinking I'm trying to emulate her." Well, that's her decision even though this could lead her to an A-lister status (but I still prefer AJ to take the role). I have a magazine wherein she said that she looks way better than Angelina... Having said that, wasn't she a little bit conceited?

She also denied any romantic involvement to Twilight star, Rob Pattinson, and High School Musical, Zac Efron. Saying they are "too pretty" and "immature" for her.

"Rob is, what, 22? Zac is 21? That's a joke ... Boys in their 20s are a waste of time. They have nothing to offer conversationally. They're immature. I feel like I have a better shot with someone in his 30s," the 22-year-old actress told Elle magazine in an interview.

Well, everybody has its preference but I hope she would say things tactfully. But I can't deny the fact that this hot gal is on her way to stardom.

What's Going On?

I have different sets of friends and I am blessed to have them. Although they have different type of personalities, I still learned something from them. I believe that even at their worst, they always possessed a very kind spirit. What I'm telling here is that even some of my friends have some kind of weird temperament, they still possess a soft spot in their hearts.

But it's quite frustrating to see your old and very close friend's inconsistent attitude. Sometimes, I was greeted in high spirits but the next time we see each other, I felt I was not welcome at all - like avoiding me. I was greeted coldly like as if I've done something wrong. Hello, we rarely even see each other, so, what's up with the attitude, dude?

What I admire in a friend is their being true to themselves. I always have this motto that "I'd better have few friends than to have more friends and have more enemies". I appreciate frank and honest people no matter how blunt they were than having a friend who seemed to be nice but behind it, has two-faced and green-eyed monster personality. I can't stand being with people full of negative things to say, too, when we can say a lot of positive things.

But thank goodness I still have my few treasured friends with intact values. They may be near or far yet we've always maintained a friendship full of love, respect and honesty. These are the people I will forever keep and worthy to be called True Friends.

Johnson's Baby Powder

I remember I used to have pimples at my back. I was a bit embarrassed to wear clothes with low cut or that would reveal my back. Later, I used Johnson's Baby Powder with pure cornstarch. I used it for my face at first but soon included my back. I was amazed to find out later on that those dark spots and zits on my back were totally gone! Did it really work wonders? - I thought so..

However, I stopped using it because I was too lazy to buy one. Now, I'm planning to buy plenty of it and put it on my face because I've several pimples on my face. Here's some facts made by the manufacturers on this product:

Great Accor Hotels

Are you planning to go on an Asian tour? Or do you have plans in going to one of the beautiful cities in Asia or in Australia? There's great news for all of us! Accor Hotels City Super Sale is offering a lower rate for sensational city hotels. My vacation travel plan is to go to Singapore. I would love to see their famous tourist attractions like the Merlion, Singapore Zoo and the Getway of Sentosa.

My dad went there before and I was so amazed of the city's cleanliness and surrounded with beautiful scenery. I was hoping that one day, I could also go and see this place. But I guess I have to plan as soon as I can because Accor offers this for a limited time only. Plus, travellers will be able to take advantage of savings of up to 60% when we book on-line between 23 - 29 June, for stays between July 10 and September 30, 2009.

It's even interesting to know that the blogger with the highest Click Through Rate (as of June 28th, 2009) will win a voucher for a free 3 night stay at an Accor Hotel in Asia Pacific!! I hope I am lucky enough to win this one.

Mind My Own Business

I've been blogging for quite sometime and so far it's been great. I met new friends and learned new things apart from expressing my opinion in my 'virtual diary'. My main purpose in blogging is to share my personal opinion and not to attack on anybody or violate somebody else's right. (Grabbing opps is a bonus, by the way ;)). I'm a friendly, flexible and casual blogger, you know, hehehe.

I've visited some blogs lately and I found out that they were bickering over some petty things. But then, I've realized that theirs was none of my business, so I hopped to another blog. There, I found some interesting issue - Plagiarism, hmmm. It was indeed not good to copy somebody else's work especially if it was a paid blog. What was the other one thinking? Thought everything would be settled with both sides making peace and make amends but guess it did not happen that way. It worsened. Anyway, I wish them luck. Again, it was none of my business but the topic there was really interesting, huh ;)

Sometimes, I can't help but wonder that if ever I met some bloggers in person, will they like me (or despise me)? Will we click? Will we get along? Some people were really nice but were they transparent or was it just a facade? And do some people use blogging just to be popular to the point that they violated other people's rights?

I can't help but also think that maybe, some of the bloggers were able to copy posts from other bloggers because they wanted to submit their "many" opportunities on time. I guess this is what happen to some bloggers with high PR (?) because they are pressured to maintain their rank in order to grab more opps. Well, this is just my 2 cents worth of wild guessing - but actually part of my quintessential questions.

Anyway, we actually know what we are up to in blogging, right? I just hope we'll be responsible enough of the consequences if ever we erred other people just because of our own personal interest. But this is actually way beyond my control, so what was I thinking? So, I guess it's best that I'll just have to mind my own business here :p

Pitter, Patter

Whoa! I just finished doing my laundry and few minutes later, the sky went dark and a heavy rain poured down! Plus the thunder was roaring wildly, too! What a waste for doing so... For several days, it was freaking hot but I did not do my laundry because I felt tired due to my 'monthly visitor'. Now that I'm up and about, circumstances really made a joke out of me! Oh well, this is not the first time anyway. I just couldn't understand nature sometimes. She must have been moody, too.

Family First!

Family is my very first priority. That's why I always prefer to go out with my family rather than spending time away from them. Or I'd rather stay home with them and have some fun. Some of my friends before thought I was quite hard to reach because I used to decline their invitation. I later told them that the truth behind was, I just can't stand to be away from my family for a long time. But if there was an activity that involved my family, you could really see me there.

Well, if you have an attitude like mine, there's an interesting news for you. Because by only writing a post about Fun Family Events, you get a chance to win $1000!

This is open to parents around the US. All you have to do is install the ParentsConnect.com widget, and then you'd be able to update with upcoming events and activities. Anyone who visits your page can then type a zip code into the widget to see what's going on in that area! If your blog gets the most views, you get the chance to win $1000. I have mine installed and you can see it at my sidebar. Join the fun, too!

Cough It Out!

I suffered a head cold and a sore throat a week ago and it really hurts to swallow. I also felt my nodes at both sides of my neck and I thought I was going to have a fever, too. Or perhaps I was on the road of acquiring influenza virus already. I didn't have a cough yet but my throat was itchy the next few days. I didn't drink any medicine at first but later decided to drink Loviscol. It was, after all, my cough medicine since I was young. And lo and behold, in just one dose, the sore, the itchiness of my throat disappeared! And getting plenty of rests helped, too! I didn't have a fever and now, I can say that I'm as healthy as a horse, hehehe :D

Nyce Hip Hop Music

I am a music enthusiast and I go for any type of genre. I listen to classical music, R&B, pop, rock, jazz, samba and even hip hop. Have you heard about Nyce Billy? He is a 20 year old rapper who came from Bronx, New York. At a very young age, he already showed interest in music.

At age 15, he realized that he had a true passion for music and decided that he wanted to become a rap artist. Nyce Billy and his friends started a rap group called O D Camp where they performed at several talent shows. The group split up after two years but did not stop Nyce Billy in pursuing his dream. Creating a new image, he got to work and completed several songs on his own. After winning first place at the Faces in the Crows Showcase, Nyce gained some serious industry buzz and international recognition.

Nyce Billy's talent and creativity led him to be discovered by Felippe Santos (also known as YO!), the founder of Everything to Gain Entertainment. His goal is to bring the hottest music to the ears that know and love good music. With songs that range from rap to R&B, Nyce Billy is indeed a truly diverse artist! You can listen his music at his myspace page.

Mr. Google

I was blog-hopping a week ago and I 'saw' some bloggers so ecstatic to have their page ranked by Mr. Google. I was happy with them, too, even though mine was a Big flat zero. Didn't hurt at all and wasn't even bothered about it. But other fellow bloggers were sad, too, because from PR 2 or 3, it went down to zero. Perhaps they really put a heart on it, huh? Especially that this blogging thing served as their means to earn a living. I can't blame them because the higher the Page Rank, the more opportunities will be opened by the advertisers.

Well, I am just too glad that blogging is more of a hobby for me but of course, earning out from it is a big bonus, too. I would be very hypocrite to deny it the mere fact that some of my posts here were paid.

Anyway, I was once chatting to a blogger friend and she shared to me her sentiments. She was telling her husband that one of her blogs with PR was not ranked by Mr. G anymore. Hoping to get a good advice, her husband instead told her to post a provocative picture of her in the blog. That way, more viewers will go to her site and will make Mr. G finally noticed it, lol. Her husband was just joking, though, but who knows, it might be true, haha!

Well, kidding aside, I actually don't quite understand how this rating thing worked. I've seen other blogs with lots of badges but still they got a strong PR of 3. Because some bloggers insinuated that putting lots of badges is a big No-no to Google and that's the reason why they gave a zero PR. Some even suggested to join a community like entrecard, bloglog, technorati, etc, to increase traffic however, there were several blogs with PR2/PR4 without even joining a community. Some said it might be how you wrote a story in your blog or how good you are in English, but I tell you, there are lots of non-English speaking bloggers out there but still with great PRs! So, all I can say is, it's really up to Mr. Google if they like your blog.

And so, I salute to all of you who got great PR's from Mr. Google. It means to say that you passed their standards ;-)
