Have you seen this portion on Glee? I agree with Santana that this couple is freakin' charming. I've been watching Glee and how I came to like this show. But there are just some scenes that are not suitable for the kids to see. Anyway, about this song, the title is Lucky and it was originally sang by Colbie Calliat and Jason Mraz. But I came to like the version of Sam and Quinn. They looked cute and they really sang it nicely. Here's the video for you to see if you missed this episode or if you don't watch this show at all ;-)
I found this video at yahoo and shared it here. Katy Perry should have appeared in one of the episodes of Sesame Street but parents were outraged when they saw the 2-1/2-minute appearance of Katy Perry. Parents were complaining on her provocative clothes she was wearing and they protested over it. Sesame Street is for kids, they say, but the producer said they were also targeting adult audience as well. But since they also listen to the parents' concern, they decided to pull out the video but can be viewed online. But they say that if we look closer, we can see that Katie Perry is using a skin-toned type of outfit. However, in my opinion, Perry's guesting was okay but she should have been made to wear a better and appropriate outfit, or at least, she could have worn something that would cover her chest. No matter what the producers say, Sesame Street is a show for kids. I've watched this show when I was small and my kids watch it now -- but I don't anymore.
Here's the trailer of Eclipse that debuted at Oprah. Eclipse was Stephenie Meyer's 3rd novel of her Twilight book series. I really love this book and I can't wait to see the movie version that will be released in theaters come June 30.
This movie will highlight the truce of the Cullen vampire/Quilete pack with the newborn vampires created by Victoria. The Volturi's are shown in here, too, and I guess with much bigger exposure than the previous movie installment. Plus the love story of Bella and Edward is never missed in here. Okay, just watch the video below and enjoy!
I was very young when Menudo band was very popular. Ricky Martin already stood out at that time. When he came back to the entertainment world in the 90's as a solo performer, I had a huge crush on him. His songs were great, too. After his Livin' la Vida Loca days, he seem to vanish into thin air. I seldom heard about him until his sexuality was questioned by many. I had suspicions already the mere fact that he was not involved with anybody. But I was on denial. I then learned that he had twin sons via artificial insemination (pls correct me if I'm wrong, thnx!). I thought he was the sexiest daddy but at the back of my mind, I asked why did he opt to have a surrogate mother while he can have someone as his lifetime partner and have plenty of kids? But last month, he finally revealed his true self. Well, we have to respect him and for his decision to finally come out in the open. He's still human and as long as he does not harm anybody, what right do we have to judge him? Anywhere, below is the video I've seen from youtube. It is his promo video on his upcoming world tour. I guess he was trying to give us a message that he was really struggling within himself...and when he finally revealed his real self, it seems to be that he was re-birthing himself..
My daughter loves to watch adventure or magical movies. In fact, she's a great fan of Harry Potter films. She also likes Twilight although some of the scenes frightened her, she just covered her eyes (or ears) with both her hands. Lately, she enjoyed watching Alice in Wonderland that she wanted us to go to the cinema and watch the movie over and over again. Then, she saw a trailer of Percy Jackson & the Lighting Thief and she was too eager to watch it right away. Well, we have our own copy so we don't need to go to the cinema anymore ;-)
Last Friday, my husband, daughter and I had our family movie night. However, when Medusa's face appeared, she went at the back of the couch to hide. She said she's scared of the snakes in Medusa's head. But even when she was hiding, she stole glances and tried to look what happen to Medusa out of curiosity. The following night, I was surprised to hear from her that she wanted to watch Percy Jackson again. It made me even surprise when she watched it all by herself while I was busy attending house chores and my husband's busy with his own business. She later told me that she was not that scared anymore because she was trying to be brave... uhuh? Anyway, for those of you who didn't watch Percy Jackson movie yet, here's the trailer for you to enjoy:
I can't help but compare these two videos. Both were done in good taste and with lots of talented artists. However, in my own opinion, Nothing Beats the Original. It was simple but was able to capture and touched the hearts of many people. The new version is good, too, especially that my favorite Celine Dion was included and sang Cyndi Lauper's part. I was also amazed to see the late Michael Jackson in the new version. Although it was obvious that they used the old clip, it was as if MJ was really there! But I don't like in the new video is the rap version. It was way too long and they made it sound like a hip-hop song/dance. But it was a great effort to all the artists involved for giving their time and dedicated this song not only to the Haiti victims but to all victims of calamaties as well. Enjoy watching the videos below:
My brothers are good guitar players and so is my husband. Unfortunately, I am not like them. I knew how to strum the guitar though and I can read the chords but I can't play without the chords. I am not good in oido either and I don't know guitar picking and plucking! I so envy them. Well, at least I still know how to play ;-)
My older brother collected albums of some great guitar players like Joe Satriani, Eric Johnson, Steve Vai to name a few. I once listened Joe Satriani's Surfing with the Alien album and I so love the tune of Always with Me, Always with You. He was really good! I showed it to my then bf (now my husband) and he liked it that up til now, he kept playing it with his electric guitar!
Anyway, Joseph "Satch" Satriani is an American multi-instrumentalist, known as an instrumental rock guitarist. Early in his career, Satriani worked as a guitar instructor, and some of his former students have achieved fame with their guitar skills e.g. Steve Vai, Kirk Hammett, Charlie Hunter. He is currently the lead guitarist for the supergroup Chickenfoot (source: wikipedia).
Sharing to you the video of Always with Me, Always with You via YouTube. Enjoy the music!
